Un paseo diferente

Comencé el viaje, saliendo de Santiago por la Panamericana Norte, hasta la ciudad de La Ligua para continuar hacia Cabildo y tomar el camino Las Palmas, un viaje casi de aventura con puentes y túneles antiquísimos pero conservando su belleza y un camino a veces amable y otras muy difícil, aún así el paisaje es sorprendente.
I began my trip, leaving Santiago by the North Highway, up to La Ligua City to continue towards Cabildo and finally taking the road Las Palmas, an almost adventure trip with very old tunnels and bridges but keeping their beauty and sometimes a very soft road and others a very rough one, even so landscape is amazing.

Ya en la Quinta Región, a unos 70 kilómetros de Santiago, encuentras el antiguo Túnel La Calavera, construído en 1954. Hasta la década de los 90 había sólo un túnel, más tarde se construyó el segundo para facilitar el flujo vial. Ambos túneles están adornados con hermosas Palmeras, todo un símbolo de la Región.
Already at the 5th Region, about 70 kilometers from Santiago, you find the old La Calavera (The Skull) Tunnel, built in 1954. Up to the 90´s decade there was just one tunnel, later a second one was built to facilitate the road flow. Both tunnels are embellished with beautiful palm trees, a landmark in the Region.
